Dr. Eva Dudzic
Dr. Eva Dudzic graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Saskatoon in 1996 after an undergraduate program at the University of Alberta in Sciences and Psychology. During her schooling, she focused strongly on small animal medicine, and worked heavily in the Small Animal Clinic throughout her 4 years there. She was in charge of the feline radioactive unit as well as summer research projects.
Eva's interest in Animal Behavior led her to many continuing education seminars over the years from various specialists around the world. Her extra training in this area encompassed many weeks of hands-on case work with specialists. In 2005, she helped with cases in Sydney, Australia with specialist Dr. Kersti Seksel. In 2006, she spent a year travelling to Seattle to provide behavior counselling to patients in that area with Dr. Lynne Seibert.
In the last 24 years she has performed all elective surgeries in every practice she has worked. She will refer Orthopedics to area surgeons, but continues to offer full service elective surgery, and dentistry. She was one of the first veterinarians to start performing dental extractions in the Victoria area, as this was historically the realm of vet nurses.
Dr. Dudzic's passion for her patients drives her to excel in providing an extremely comprehensive approach, while focusing on quality of life, minimizing pain, and seeing what’s important. Long-term palliative care, chronic disease management and pain, dentistry, multimodal therapies with focus on neutriceutals, and quality of life care are definite strengths and passions. A kind, rational and caring quality she brings to all patients with the goal of always addressing their emotional needs, alongside physical needs. Eva has been dedicated to improving the lives of many anxious animals in the form of behavioral consultations since her graduation and attends many continuing education workshops in all facets of general practice. She genuinely loves what she does, which shows in her drive, her practice, and her patients.
Her daily life revolves around her practice, and her small hobby farm in Metchosin. Her family consists of her husband Robert, her dog Fern that is often seen wandering the halls greeting people, her cat Rita, her 2 horses and chickens. Goals of expanding services at the clinic and her team, keep her always striving for improvement.
